GRIN-CH

GRIN-CH project aims at identifying competences and skills for Green Jobs in accordance with market needs.

As the lack of skilled professionals in Green-IT have been clearly identified while the EU wanted to invest in the reduction of the IT industry's carbon footprint, it becomes clear that indentify the market's needs and the requiered skills to answer them was a crucial step.

That's why the purpose of GRIN-CH is to develop European specialist profiles that are in compliance with the principles of the European metaframeworks EQF/e-CF and ECVET as well as guidelines for developing/setting-up further vocational training measures for Green Jobs.

In collaboration with many Green-IT companies working through the EU, Green-ict worked at the elaboration of the five main profiles needed identified and participated to the drafting and implementation of a portfolio of Green-IT training and awareness sessions at European level.

The expected impact will allow for comparable skills sets for these professions of the future which supports the European labour market and thus, the employability of professionals while at the same time contributing to one of the major challenges of Europe 2020.

GRIN-CH project is funded by the LLP of the European Commission and runs until end 2013.
